A few weeks ago, I revisited one of my old haunts...I spent a Sunday walking around Camden Market and exploring what it has to offer. It struck me as a lot more seedy and druggy than I remembered! It's like someone turned the lights on in the early hours after a really late party; you open your eyes and some of the glamour has worn off and begins to look old! ;) And it has become somewhat more commercial as well. However, it still retains a certain charm and there are some finds to be had. There are still the same vintage and second hand bargains and handmade craft stalls. What has changed significantly, and this is what interested me, is that there are now some really strong independent boutiques with their own individual style; that really adds value to the area.
My favourite boutique was JJ Park in the stables market (10c). It had an amazing selection of girly vintage style clothing with lace, ruffles and bows. There were fab leather bags and jewellery too. The styling in the shop is just great and you will be spoilt for choice. Promise. Unfortunately I couldn't find pictures to do it justice, but here are a few:
Satin Bib Jersey Top - reduced to £45.49
Charcoal Grey Chiffon Jumper - £45.49
Large Ribbon Dress - £99
Ruffle Detail Dress - £95
Bow Skirt - £65
Textured Lace Petals Dress/Tunic - £80
Terminal D is another great store alas I have no pictures only the address - 016 Chalk Farm Road, in the stables market
Lily J is another great designer!
13&05 has a lovely vintage atmosphere in the store; they have a selection of beautiful and unique womenswear - Unit 30B Stables Market - see below for some examples:
Showroom womenswear - 91c & 585 stables market - 'flirtatious ruffles, elegant lace and delicate fabrics'
Oih London - Stables Market unit 846
Madam Shangrila - unit 849
Will try and get more pics next time!!

I have a thing for white interiors....depending on my mood I might prefer elements of shabby chic, opulence with a touch of minimalism as well as a cottage/seaside feel to it. I adore the simplicity and calmness of white and I have already been doing some research for when I have my Malibu beach house!...One day....
